Dreaming Big

So, I must confess, I have spent some serious time fantasizing in my day. Not just about that boy next door when I was just a little girl, not just about a better world, but also about that most elusive of dreams for all queens: the perfect show.

Picture it - "Bianca Paige Live," in bright lights, on Broadway in New York (I mean, where else!?) A production to beat all productions. Bursting onto the scene, this show would bring together all of my favorite elements: High Energy Dance, the glamour and feel of Old Hollywood and, of course, a taste of Broadway Musicals!

Now, no matter what is being done in a production, the ideas are only as good as those bringing them to life. If I could have my choice (and I can, 'cause this is MY dream!) I would share the stage with some wonderful names: Charlie Brown, Rita Ross, Sabel Chanel, Mimi Marks and, of course, the illustrious RuPaul herself. With these fierce queens, performing to a skipping CD would be fabulous!

I'd love to show the world a mix of things. There are some numbers I'd love to recreate, like "Hellraiser" or "The Little Mermaid," both of which are extreme production numbers (of very different feels) which I've done in the past that showcase my theatrical nature. I'd also love to bring together some new ideas for this dream cast; how could you not, girl! I'd love to mix together some current crowd pleasers and some old favorites, to construct a show that would wow the audience and leave them begging for our return performance. From over-the-top costuming to sets that seem ripped from imagination, everything would be done to the highest possible caliber (since, of course, in my dream, I'm the richest queen in the world!)

Now, no matter how much talent and preperation goes into a production, it is still only as good as the audience, because without them, none of it matters. We do this thing we do because we are ENTERTAINERS FIRST! I must, then, say a little something about my ideal audience. Now, I've always been know as a wonderful impersonator - I AM the Pantomime Rage, after all! So, I'd love to have some of the people that I have played in the past in the audience to get their opinions and tips on how to do them better: Carol Burnett would be front row, center! Eunice from Mama's Family would be right beside her. Also, Clive Barker would have to be there to tell me how we pulled off Hellraiser!

Now, there are some of the specifics, but the most amazing things about any performance are those things you can't plan for. The little moments that happen because of all the energy and sponteneity infused in the very nature of performance. These Entertaintressess and me performing for a high end crowd with high end productions? There would be so much energy, New York could shut down it's power grid and just run on us!

I am Bianca Paige and I approve this message.

Heee-EEEEE-eeeeyyyy!!!

Everybody, my name is Bianca Paige of Nashville, Tennessee. I was born Mark Middleton in 1964 in Bowling Green, Kentucky. After graduating from Paducha Tilghman High School in 1982, I moved to Nashville where I started my career in the art of female impersonation.

Among the 35 some odd titles under my belt, I was honored to recieve 1st Runner Up to Tandy Andrews in Miss Gay USA as well as 1st Runner Up to Monica Monro for Entertainer of the Year.

I was the recipient of the Miss Grand Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award and the HRC Community Leadership Award.

Theatre is the love of my life and will always be. Among my credits, I played the lead role in Razor's Edge Production of "Torch Song Trilogy." I was also nominated for Best Performance in the Off-Broadway Musical in the Fresh Fruit Festivel in New York City as "Amanda Lose" in "Ain't We Got Fun."

I was voted Nashville, Tennessee's Favorite Drag Queen five years in a row and am currently writing a musical and touring the country. You can catch me in Nashville at Play Dance Bar every other Monday.

I am the Reigning Miss State of Tennessee.

I am the Pantomime Rage! Bianca Paige!

Thank you for taking the time to vote for me!
