Goodbyes??
So does everyone think they are going to shut the site down? Maybe I'm being naive, and they are...but I would think to keep momentum for the show, the site will stay. It feels like the end of camp or something.
Wowsa....the last 72 hours have been somewhat ugly on here. We were a super-supportive crowd, lots of love and flowers until that Round 3 cut. Oh my goodness it sorta went down hill from there. It was like throwin water on the witch, and watchin her melt! People left their profiles, put up "shadow pictures" and basically told everyone else to f*&#k off! And then the cheating discussion ensued even more, and it just all continued to spiral.
I know this site has been a great net-working opportunity for a lot of Queens, and hags too quite frankly. Many of us have continued the connection on myspace or facebook or email or whatever. I think we'll start seeing connecting Queens performing together in our bars across the country.
So, seriously is this whole thing just a big piece of dung? I know folks don't like the way Round 3 went, and I know people feel the producers played a dirty trick. But are we honestly believing it was all for naught?
Like I said, I may be naive and Pollyanna (I always liked her pig-tails) but we ALL got a lot from here. And I'd venture to say we'll get more.
Will everyone get on the show? No. Are some dreams shattered? Yes. And both of those are unfortunate. But I also know that many people I've met over the years in this community take some of the most dismal situations and make the best of them.
Did anyone fire you from your current job? Did you lose every fan you ever had in your drag career? Is all hope lost for the world?
NO, for pete's sake NO.
These are those moments in life that you decide "Hey, wow, disappointing, but I gained so much in the process." We don't have those very often, and many of us ignore them when we do...only to look back on them and wish we had.
Stay strong, and true to yourself. It's what you got..it's who you ARE. You didn't just wake up one morning and find yourself in pantyhose and mascara . You chose to be there...and you used innner-strength to do it.
So ya, the show will go on. ....and so will you.

.....and the votes have disappeared!!! Now who was ready for that? And the Queens have all been mixed around! And who was ready for THaT?! When I tried to log in and I saw "down for maintence" I thought..."good gravy marie, there's a shake up!"
I told Anya in one of my comments to her that producers are fickle people...and certainly like to change it up! Hence...here we are!
And NOW is when it realllllly gets interesting. Because now my friends, you're gonna have to WORK.
You have no idea if you are last, first, or middle of the pack. And I have a sneaky suspicion that all votes have been neutralized. That means *gasp* ...pause for effect* you're going to have to impress us.
And some of you have, there's no doubt!
Remember when voters were saying "hey don't forget to thank us" or "hey don't forget to stop by?" Yah, see...it's going to be ever so crucial now. It's now that it's important to have networked with people, to have established rapport and relationships. Now, more than ever, it's the time know who your friends are. :-)
Oh, and by the way...those of you who are voting for every single Queen, every single day are simply canceling your vote. Pick your 3 Queens and stand by em! Don't dilute your vote so much that it no longer stands for anything!
