Can't Wait for the Show!!

I want to thank each an everyone of you who always gave me your love, votes and support. I'm extremely happy that I won the race on this website, and I can't wait to go on the show and see who else was selected.

I'm sure this event will be full of surprises, aswell as a fun experience. For now, all I can say is that I will stay true to myself and follow my instincts, which I believe are the reasons I got this far.

Congratulations to all the wonderful contestants that were also in this race. I hope that we can cross paths in the future, making good friends and sharing our knowledge and passion for this art form.

I can't wait to see what this competition has instore for me. This is definitely a new chapter in my life.

I love you all,
FLOWER POWER

What ever happens...

I want to thank my family, my friends and my fans for supporting me through this event. This has been an amazing experience, and one that I will never forget. I’m honored to have received so much love.

I’ve met so many new and wonderful people, as well as a group of very diverse performers. This has been a seed that will add new opportunities for collaboration with other great performers for future projects.

As for now, I’m in Puerto Rico with my family and friends and I’m having a marvelous time. I can’t begin to express what a wonderful joy it’s been to re-visit the Island for the first time since I left back in January. My people in Puerto Rico, you have my heart and I love you so much. I look forward to seeing many of you at “ShowTime” in Sancturce for the “White Party.” DJ Flowers is going to rock the house with tribal beats in order to have you dancing until dawn.

We’re going to PARTY!!!

In the mean time, I don’t have immediate access to this site, and my partner, who is back in Denver, CO has assisted me in passing out messages when necessary. I want to respond to every single person, but at this time I’m not able to due to a lack of internet access.

I don’t know what’s going to happen to this website after the next few days, and I don’t want to lose contact of all the new friendships. Fortunately, there are still other ways that we can stay in touch. Please feel free to join me at www.myspace.com/nina_flowers. I hope to continue our dialogue and keep you notified on future projects. Additionally you can go on YouTube and simply do a search for “Nina Flowers.” I will continue to update this website with my most recent activities, as well as show you some of my past experiences.

To my family, friends and fans – with special thanks to my partner Antonio, I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for you. I’m please that I can continue to entertain you, be it as Nina Flowers or as DJ Flowers.

Again, thanks you.

With much love,
Nina Flowers

What if I Were to Win...

If I were to win this event, it will definitely have great impact on my career for future plans with T.V., and recording music. While I appreciate and love some of the musical talents of the people I perform to, it would be fierce to perform to my own songs instead of lip-synching to others. Additionally, I could use this opportunity to take my DJ career to another level combining both art forms, with help from promoters within the circuit scene.

Winning this event will allow me to share my art with millions of people watching the show, in turn putting me on the map as an entertainer. Who knows what else can come from this – maybe theater, or movies.

Another thing that I have always wanted to do is to write a book giving away my secrets and techniques about my make-up. I feel winning this event will allow me to meet the perfect contacts to bring this idea to life.

After winning the title, it will be great to go on a national tour giving myself the opportunity to perform across the nation - being able to meet some of the great performers that have also been competing in this event.

As for the drama, everyone faces jealousy in all types of professions. Through the years, I have learned to stay focus in the art and never allow negative energy to affect me. My focus is about entertaining.

I want to take this opportunity to thank the producers for this experience, allowing many of us to broadcast and expand our networks. With this we are learning from each other - viewing the diversity there is within this profession. You’ve allowed us the opportunity to dream big when it comes to entertaining our fans and those who love us.

I also want to thank all the beautiful people who gave me their love and support – such as my family, my friends, my fans, and my partner Antonio. Thank you all for believing in me.

May the best one win!

Feeling for the Second Round

I want to take this opportunity to thank everybody who supported me and gave me their votes during this round.

Congratulations to Empress for I know this round goes to you – you’re a wonderful contestant to have by my side - as well as Ginger Sexton, Jasmine Saville and Jessica Dimon.

I especially would like to thank my wonderful partner for his love and incredible support – without YOU, this wouldn’t be happening.

I want to thank my family, my friends, my fans and all the wonderful people that I have met through this event. This already makes me a winner, and for sure it’s an experience I will never forget.

Even if I don’t win this race, I still believe I’m a strong competitor that has all the qualities to make it to this show – till then keep voting, but please do it fairly – not by cheating - that means one vote every 24 hours.
Even though cheating is possible I do not applaud this – not even if it’s from my fans attempting to support me.

On a more positive note, I’m very excited because for the end of the third round I will be in Puerto Rico - and have the privilege to celebrate the finals with my family and friends back home.

To my friends and fans I will be performing as a DJ, Saturday July 19th at club “ShowTime” in Santurce, Puerto Rico. Keep in mind that it’s a “White Party.” I hope to hear from all of you during this third round and if you’d like to join me on “myspace,” please visit www.myspace.com/Nina_Flowers.

With love and respect,
Nina Flowers

How Would I Describe My Ideal Performance?

If I had to describe an ideal performance for me, what better an occasion to have such a show – if I were to win this event. I would love this performance to take place in my beautiful island of Puerto Rico at “El Centro de Bellas Artes,” which is one of San Juan’s most prestigious auditoriums.

The reason why I chose to do this show there is because I would love to have my family be able to share this experience with me, among my friends and most of my fans who without them, I wouldn’t have gotten this far.

In this event, I would love to perform alongside some of the greatest figures of female impersonation in the island, such as Ruddy’s Martinez, Alex Soto, Felix Chevermont, Kathy La Fontain, Jamie Sunflowers, Kim More, Lorna Vandos, Dreuxila Divine, Desire Cardoza, Luis Madonna. I would also like to include in this show some of the new generation divas such as Madame Laqueer, Dixsha Norel, Morgana Samhein, Sheila Andrews, Lisa Her, Julianis LeBlanch, Michelle Du Soleil, Yara Sofia, and Monica Tyler. Of course I would also have as a special guest of this event, the Super Model of the World - “RuPaul.” This would definitely be a show full of color, high energy and pure entertainment that would bring out the masses celebrating this great artform.

If I were to select some celebrities to be in the audience, I would love to have some of my greatest inspirations such as, Annie Lennox, Nina Hagen, Boy George, Pete Burns, and Cyndi Lauper.

In all of this, that would be the ideal performance for me.

Can't Wait to Come Back...

My dear friends from RuPaul's Drag Race,

I recently moved with my partner to a new place, and unfortunately I don't have direct internet access until July 3rd. This is the reason why I haven't been able to respond to all the testimonies that you all have left me.

I know that some of you are already requesting for my videos. Please know that I'm working on them. In the mean time, keep visiting "YouTube" where there's a big selection of recent shows done here in Denver, CO.

To all my friends in Puerto Rico, I'm coming back home from the 15th to 22nd of July. I will be DJing on the 19th at the "White Party" at "Show Time" and I'll also be playing on the 20th at "S-Lounge."

Please know that the promoters that are hiring me have requested me as a DJ, and not a performer - so I won't be doing a show in the Island, but "DJ FLOWERS" (AKA "Nina Flowers") will ROCK the House with TRIBAL BEATS. Hopefully when I go back in October I will be performing for all of you in my house - "KLUB KRASH."

Big HUG for all of you - and stay real.

NINA "F*Kng" FLOWERS

The Race is On...

I want to thank all my family, friends, fans, all the contestants, and all the beutiful people that have supported me up to this point of the event. There is still more to come, and the race ain't over until July 17th. So, please keep voting.

As for this first round, I'm very happy and excited that I got the most votes. To all of you who voted for me, I sincerely thank you.

This is all for you.

To my competitors, it's been an honor being in this race right next to you. It's been a tight race - good luck to all of you.

Hugs and Kisses,
Flower Power!!

Repost: About Me...

About me

I was born in 1974, in the city of Bayamon, in the beautiful Island of Puerto Rico .

I started in the art of female impersonation in 1993 at the age of 19, and as my passion for the art of makeup developed, so did my obsession with creating different faces and personas.

I still remember the first time I put on makeup. I became a different person. It was interesting how I did this with my imagination – creating characters and giving it life on stage.

The lights, the music, the stage, and the crowd – putting it all together – magic in the making. The fever began and continued. In 1999, I became "Miss Puerto Rico Continental" and in 2001 "Miss City Lights Continental.”

Through my journey I've had the privilege in working with some of the best entertainers in the USA, relating to female impersonation, and also had the opportunity to perform in some amazing cities both inside and outside the U.S. I’ve had the pleasure in performing in the following cities: New York City, NY; Chicago, Illinois; Miami and Orlando, Florida; San Antonio, Texas; Hartford, Connecticut; and Guadalajara Mexico.

I just recently move to Denver, Colorado where I'm trying to find some new places to share my art.

I recently started performing at club “Charlie’s,” where some of the best entertainers of the city are part of the cast. For more pictures and videos visit www.myspace.com/nina_flowers.
I hope you enjoy my profile and I hope you vote for me!

Boston was Fierce!

Hello everyone!

I want to thank everyone for your continued support and votes for me - my family, friends, and fans - specially all the beautiful people from Boston who welcomed me like a true Diva!

A special thanks to everyone at Gay Mafia, and to my friend and favorite promoter, Rafael - you rock! Thank you for helping me promote in such a great city. This was a pride weekend that I will never forget.

Thanks to all the beautiful Divas from Boston - for your love and support – Guillermo (gracias por cuidarme), Mizery (You are one fierce bitch), and my lovely sister Diamond Dunhill (I love you girl) - I can't wait to go back!

On another topic:

While I continue to appreciate your support - I ask - please stop the attacks. Some of you have been attacking other girls on the race, and I personally don't think that's cute. If you don’t like any of the girls, just don’t have to give them any attention. I'm sure that many of you don't like when their fans attack me, so please cut it out and let's play nice. These attacks are only hurting me and working other Diva’s loyal fans against me - not cute!

Thank you - I love you all.

Guys Listen Up

This afternoon I had the privilege to perform at a Denver event called "People's Fair," with a great group of Divas from this city. Among those Divas was the lovely Ginger Sexxton, who also performed with me at Club Charlie's review, "VIVID." I must say, this girl is not only beautiful, but also talented and a sweet heart. I'm really happy to make such a great connection with her, not only because we're competing in this race together, but also because we've started a great friendship.

To my baby sister, Miss Ginger Sexxton, you have my love and support and I really hope we can both stay top five until the end.

To all my friends and fans, I thank you for your love and support and I ask of you to share that love with my sister - she deserves it, as she has done the same for me with her friends and her fans.

Much love and respect to all of you,
Nina

About the Rules of this Race

To my friends and fans,

I know that many of you are doing your best to look out for me. It's appreciated - I thank you for your love and support.

While "looking out for me" is appreciated, I also want to make sure you're well informed. As performers we have been given guidelines and a list of songs for us to choose from. It's unfortunate that we are limited on our choices, but there will be many performers on this site that will have similar songs due to those guidelines.

Please, control your attacks on other competitors regarding their song selections. We are all working under the guidelines of this race.

Thanks again for your continued support.

NOW - Keep on giving me your daily VOTES!!

And reach out to as large an audience as possible. VOTAA!! VOTAA!! VOTAA!!

With much LOVE,
"NINA 'F*&#%G' FLOWERS"

Thank You and Thanks Again

I want to thank all my friends and fans that have taken their time to vote for me on a daily basis. You are all amazing and I'm honored that you've placed me here in this race.

A special thanks to all my people "en la isla del encanto," and to all my new friends and fans in Denver, CO.

I'm proud of this art form and the freedom it gives me to express myself in what ever way I want. I take great pride in my work and I believe that I have a fan base that truely appreciates my art and how I present it. That is why I remain in this position.

With that said, I am confident that my place in this race is real.

Please continue voting, and play by the rules. Keep getting more and more people to vote.

To all my friends in Boston, I will be performing there during Gay Pride. I'm excited to be visiting you.

For all of you that want to join us I'll be giving you more details later to where I'll be performing.

I know that PRIDE weekend is close in many cities, and in Puerto Rico, it is this Sunday, so Happy PRIDE to everyone - especially to my friends in PR. I love you and miss you guys.

Work baby! WORK!!!

Absolutely No Regrets

I want to thank my family, friends and fans who have been constantly voting for me. Like I said the race is long and there is still more to come, so please don't give up and keep voting.

On another note, last night I added to my profile a picture without make-up and I had a few people that were upset about this picture. I strongly believe that one of the most interesting steps to this art form is the transformation - from masculine features to feminine features. I apologize to those that felt uncomfortable for the picture, but I have no regrets in posting the picture, for I feel completely comfortable in my skin.

Keep voting for your favorite ones - and keep supporting this great event.

With love and respect,
Nina Flowers

Hello Everyone,

I hope that you're enjoying the competition as much I am. I just want to give you the news that I recently uploaded my first interview video where you can get a take on my personality. I also included a picture of me without make up. I'm still working on my performance video. In the meantime keep voting every day. :)

You have my love,
Nina Flowers
